One atypical thing about Planet Robobot is that it almost has a plot. It just makes it easier to swallow (sort of pun, sort of intended). We’d like to say that Planet Robotbot finally bucks that trend, but it doesn’t. As popular as they may be in certain quarters, particularly in America and Japan, most tend to blur into each other and almost all suffer from the same problems of being trivially easy and lacking focus. Whereas Nintendo’s other franchises are usually limited to just one or two mainline entries per console, Kirby games seem to drop off the production line on a far more regular basis.
